The struggle
-
It is official, my Dark Willow stats are now worse than my Batrider stats, and for those keeping track that is a very damning statistic:
-
I think my solution to this problem might be to play another two games of Batrider when I have a moment.
-
I think I remember the vaette batrider meme. Oh dear.
-
I seemed to remember that your bat record was almost as bad, but that's not actually true looking at the stats (though not one of your more winning heroes). We can all look to Bobs Broodmother as an example for us all though. Sometimes it is indeed a struggle.
-
Yet I rock two hero challenges complete, I wear my broodmother record as a badge of honour!
-
Yeah, I can't really trashtalk it on the same basis, I have really worked at DW with the thinking that it'll be a good hero to know, which is a bit different from brute-forcing a hero for a challenge.
That said, 2 wins in 23 games is a pretty next-level struggle
-
(Also, DW picking is not completely dead yet, despite the loss streak ending with a WR pick; I don't think I, or WR, had terribly much to do with that win
)
-
Nice Friday night of DOTA, feel free to guess the lineup:
Granted they didn't win, but I must admit they were playing more in the spirit of a Friday night than we did.
e: To help (or rather not), the lanes are top-to-bottom: mid, safelane support, offlane, safelane carry, offlane.
-
Inching upwards bit by bit... (to those keeping track that is 55% over the last 20 since the last report, I have yet to win with another Willow on the team or lose against a Willow)
-
2 years and 3 months since I was last bored on Dark Seer also
-
Redemption is real though:
Still pretty clearly not among the top supports of the patch. I am rather tempted to say its Shadow Shaman that is the most desirable support currently, works decently in most laning setups (which has gotten pretty important feels like), the usual plethora of disables, and most importantly; keeps you from getting stuck trying to claim objectives.
-
I'm getting on a redemption arc myself. Invoker feels alive again, at least.
Note the 12/2 loss thanks team
-
I am mostly fascinated by the single game with 37 minute Arcane Boots (winning) Invoker.
(It should of course also be noted that my games above are in some sense "easy" games, in that I tryhard a bit on Willow where my unranked calibration is no doubt a bit affected by some screwing with weird(er) heroes and builds.)
-
Oh, I meant to buy an octarine and it completed the arcanes, by which point the octarine was also in my inventory so i couldnt disassemble and sell the extra energy booster
-
Aah, that is a funnier reason, I was sort of expecting it to be some "we really want to push and finish right now but team mana issues is the biggest issue". Sort of too narrow to be a thing to actually happen maybe
Commented before, but Invoker seems very decent now. Timings are more forgiving of getting a Midas, and while there's a fair bit of tank around most heroes are not as stupidly tanky as cheaply/easily anymore.
-
yeah the only scourge is when you get last pick kunkka'd which is fucking aids in lane still
