Munich next

Wrapping up the last details for a move to Münich this summer (July 1 most likely). I will freely admit that one of the true high points of this is that I'll have European internet again, and small details such as it being within a reasonable distance of Sweden making it a bit more reasonable to actually furnish an apartment with stuff like a proper computer chair so I actually get some gaming done (laptop gaming really really sucks actually, desktop forever~)
Pretty excited about this actually
:germany:

Yay

Munich sounds great! Happy to hear it.

I will however be working indirectly for the German army (which for some reason runs universities), so world war 3 should kindly not break out over the next few years.
(also, thread moved out of private as it is now publicly known that I am quitting here.)

Shopping for a GPU in 2018: "Hmm, these 2016 cards, the newest available, now only cost 30% more than when they were first launched, perhaps this is indeed the time to buy."
-
GFX card market is sad indeed.

That went pretty quick, I have decent internet (though wifi) and everything.
One issue I did not consider before the move was that this being a military university means just about every person on campus is more fit than I am: all the students have straight-up minimum physical fitness requirements, and the staff have access to a vast array of fitness activities (instruction included etc.) I am still weighing whether I should let such things eat into my quality gaming time.

Take up bouldering/rock climbing thats fairly casual and pretty awesome fun!
-
Well, I see the university wall in the distance...
Will consider.
-
Awesome!

Access to my permanent apartment on Thursday, sweet stuff. Not least get even more proper internet (been battling the lag a bit in the last few weeks). Also time to get a proper computer set up, my laptop has had some pretty heavy duties for the past month (past two years really).
-
Well, that didn't last
Mostly afk the next week as I make my way back to the deep woods of northern Sweden.
Currently in Amsterdam, which is of course the entirely logical midpoint. Observations: excellent Asian food to be had, and British tourists are predictably an integral part of the place. To exemplify: First sight upon arriving at the city center was a crowd of incredibly drunk british guys, one wearing a wedding dress, having a lighthearted but very loud argument outside a strip club. At 3pm. Then at dinner the next table over was two teenage girls from essex having a loud conversation which switched between trying to quantify just how high they were, and who had gotten fat second year.
(Of course this is just noticeable since they speak a language I know, other nationalities are getting off easy :))

Noted vaette hanging around strip clubs at 3 in the morning
Enjoy your trip back dude!

3pm, and Amsterdams center works out that way

I read it as 3am too, I guess we autofilled the logical time a strip club would actually be open?
Amsterdam sounds like a silly place. I would like to go.

What is the deal with people from Essex always stating that they are from Essex? Someone British please explain.
