Spring Cleaning update (7.08)
-
I don't play much for practical reasons, but that is no reason to avoid a touch of theorycraft: http://www.dota2.com/springcleaning/
-
In fact the most relevant change in the patch is really
battlefury nerfspeople getting outright 6 month matchmaking bans for repeated bad behavior, and being very upset about it.Surely not intended that I get banned, I only ever rage and feed when it is all my teams fault (and it is matchmakings fault for putting me with such bad players every game)~
And so on, very heartening.
-
More Omniknight nerfs, this is getting pretty significant now. If I ever play again I will be doing Underpants with Meteor Hammer.
-
Pretty sure Meteor Hammer is just good now if you have setup and/or need some push. Not that expensive after all.
-
And the stats have always been good value, no recipe, costs barely more than a mekanism.
- 12 Strength (240hp)
- 12 Intelligence (144 mana)
- 4.0 HP Regeneration
- 1.5 Mana Regeneration
So with Pit plus a couple of other random stuns on the team it could be quite devastating. Or not.

A thread every two weeks may be a lot, especially as there is only one real change this time: the hero who stacked a camp gets 15% of the gold gained when an allied hero clears it. Pretty sweet change really.
-
How much is that these days anyway?
-
15% of an average camp? Ranges from 10 gold for a small camp to 26 for an ancient camp. So it is tiny amounts of gold, but for a support, especially one that can do two stacks every spawn reliably, it does at least make the effort feel a bit better. Another nice thing is that there is a sound effect played when a stack is successfully made, which is nice and friendly.
Just to be complete the other big changes are that: couriers now cost 50 gold (again happy supports), tangos are once again a 3-stack for 90 gold, and starting gold is now 600 (breaking everyones starting builds for everything).
