Forums update this weekend

Going to have to bring the forum down to update the software, may have made a dubious selection in how often this thing updates, and how non-automatic the update procedure is, but, either way: there'll likely be few hours of unavailability. Outside of preannounced instances like this, give shout if you find something not running right.

Whew, finally completed this. Ended up having to set up a backup solution as well after the first attempt rather spooked me by messing with the database. We should now have smooth sailing on 1.5.1 though, and should also be safe from future data loss.

Tried in the process to enable a plugin which would post new threads here through to the discord channel, but appears to not work yet. Will dig again some other day :s

Updated to 1.8.2, at minimum it uglified the visit thing at the bottom, will see if I can restore that later

I rejiggered things so it doesn't look terrible, but found the "who had visited today" thing sort of fun (only visible to registered users etc.) so am keeping that as long as no one complains

Rebooting for forum upgrade in a few minutes, will only be a moment (hopefully).

In good fun on the horizon: the forums started off annoying me updating every other week, now they have gone silent for 3+ months. I am pretty sure this is a sign someone tried to launch a successful business out of the thing, and have now run out of steam and money, so we'll see if it slides into abandonware from here :crazy_face:
