Someone should have posted that QC is now actually f2p permanently. I am so terrible at Quake that I don't think I'll find myself playing it with anyone of you, but I'll take a moment and download it at least now that I can duck both the horrible Bethseda launcher and paying money.

Big update too. Finally included one game mode without active abilities on champions. It's now also possible to queue for deathmatch and instagib with friends in your party (yes, this was actually not possible before!)
The game is free to play, but you are limited to two champions. You can get more champions for free by saving up a ridiculous amount of "favor", or you can randomly find champions in loot boxes. You can get more loot boxes by playing or doing the toturial. You also get rewards for starting the game every day, don't even need to play a match.
Still not impressed by the speed of these updates. I mean they are quite nice, but they are too slow for the game to really pick up any momentum. Still many features "missing".

Game actually has acceptable match history, I had no idea.

Such a depressing game to watch good players stream though, just tuned in to a twitch stream over lunch, and the first thing that happened was the streamer casually railgunning people perfectly over and over while simultaneously reading out a donation comment.
I mean, DOTA streamers would also trivially style on me, but the difference is still more subtle at first glance ;q

Big update, inlcuding a new game mode similar to Clan Arena. (but not quite as good
)
Also greatly reduced how much it cost to buy champions for free players.
