Complaining

The web is full of complaining about the Warcraft 3 remake, and in ways way deeper than my annoyance, but I really can't get over how incredibly bland it looks. A bit of a frankenstein comparison:
It was a very Blizzard kind of design to the ground in Warcraft 3, but now they've smoothed it out into a shapeless sea of green. It looks even worse in motion, and worse still in cutscenes, and just incredibly bad on stuff like menus, as they are made as a Chrome browser app overlaid on the game.
Not to say the original was good looking, but I think there is basically an argument to be had about which looks better, the 2002 or the 2020 version.
