Kiev Major
-
Wasting plenty of time at work watching the Kiev major at the moment, as there is no greater joy than seeing people buy Midases and send illusions at buildings. I am going ahead and betting on TNC for a top-3 finish though, mostly because they played more entertaining DOTA than the others I have so far seen.
I also rather recommend Bulldogs stream of it over a lot of the iffier casters, twitch-style wacky to some extent, but for the most part rather relaxed analysis.

Just watched my first whole game of pro dota in ages and TNC were playing pretty dam well!

Yeah, not so much that they do anything truly crazy or strange, but they keep a good pace and make very decisive-looking decisions. I have enjoyed the games. I was planning to cheer for OG for historical reasons, but they rather go a formulaic route most games (e.g. Naga strats). I, either way, find that it is key to cheer for some team, as that is what keeps the tournament interesting.

Ugh, EG fanboys are the worst.

So many midases this tournament. I am not sure I see the impact that clearly though, and the statistics are no help, as teams who are winning are a touch more likely to buy midas to start with

Not like this TNC
-
Wait, like this. Indeed like this. Called that a bit too soon
-
why would you even cheer for them over ice3
-
Pick a Timbersaw and I'll cheer for iceiceice every day, but Omniknight is not flashy enough to make me cheer for a team for that reason alone ;D
Plus, just look at that TNC play, that was a good-looking game in the end.

Oh well, TNC out, Faceless had a better game last one. A shame though, I would rather see TNC than a lot of the other teams in the tournament. Not least they have some sweet TP rotations almost always getting them a good early game, something that is always fun to see.
