Mars

In a surprise twist this seems one of the less broken new heroes in a bit. Still too strong though, the winrate no doubt let down by a lot of players trying to either 1- or 4/5-pos it when neither seems to make a whole lot of sense. Can certainly semi-carry, but a strength hero with no steroid (well a crit on a too-long 10 second cooldown as its only steroid) does not seem a reliable hard carry. As a support the utility seems pretty trash, the ult is a better Kinetic Field, but not that much better really.

Too strong? Seems garbage to me after a few games with it in
-
ok my sample size is 3 games and it's 2-1, but the game it won I don't remember it having much impact at all even with a Monkey on the other team
-
All his stats are too good, nerf strength gain, movespeed, and attack range a bit and we're getting closer. The skills are good but not as broken as e.g. o.g. MK and grimstroke.
-
I've only played against it, but caught some pros/streamers trying it out, and I got the feeling that the chassi is just really strong.
-
To return to this I think the truth of Mars lies somewhere between the James (broken as hell) and beach (not that good), at least (filtering Archon through Ancient) the stats are of that nature:
Sort of surprised to see Bloodseeker in there though, that has snuck up on me a bit.

There are always a few surprises in these lists, like when is the last time you saw a Warlock?
-
Granted this is a 24h sample as well, but even moving the tier filter around Warlock seems to be doing really well. Has been getting buffed for several patches straight, so I guess that has made the difference.
-
it could be argued that his win rate is lower than it would be given viper is still a strong pick and has a high pick rate in that list, i imagine if viper gets nerfed again mar's win rate will go up significantly assuming he remains constant
-
True enough, both'll get nerfed a bit for sure though. I suspect for Viper a nethertoxin cooldown increase, even a modest one, would go most of the way needed.
-
Cooldown + mana cost for nethertoxin is what it needs
