Someone decide for me!

Red Dead seems the obvious relaxation choice. But it is not like I played any of them.
In more important news Disco Elysium is getting updated with the key features to be goty of 2020 as well:
-
Pikuniku is €0.82 on sale: https://store.steampowered.com/app/572890/Pikuniku/
I've only played like half an hour, but it is a pleasant enough little indie puzzle platformer. For those with more money/games than time the sale shouldn't really be too motivated to buy.
-
It's happening:
Or maybe not, as the guy is not known for his overall reliability, as more or less captured by the "Planned Release Date: time is subjective".

I finished it, but I don't think it was worth more than the sale price. Play Ori for a game that's better in every way.

Playing Stardew Valley finally. Just splits the difference between Harvest Moon on the SNES (which I loved) and the typical mobile phone busybox type game. I am slightly insulted that I am enjoying it as much as I am.
-
Bought and played Red Dead for a few hours. The presentation is incredible, but the gameplay and story are not very engaging. Will probably continue to play it later, but now I am busy with Hitman 2. (2!?)
-
In the actual AAA category I have Control pretty high on my list, I'm a sucker for the over-the-top SCP-xx style sci-fi nonsense, and it is pretty well-loved. I am having a Netflix month though, so I am all about the games which I can play while only kind of enjoying some video content at the same time.
-
Pretty clear-cut that I am not going to end up playing Doom: Eternal, though only because I am pretty sure my heart can't take the tempo:
-
Finished the Halo 1 campaign in the Master Chief Collection. The remastering job is great, but the game is horribly boring and repetitive. I spent most of the game fighting "the flood" which is a horde of zombies that run straight towards me. There is no strategy other than running backwards while holding down the trigger, barely even have to aim. I have no idea why I am so stubborn and finished the game despite this.

Posted this on Discord too, but to make sure no one who doesn't have almost all of this misses it:
While you need to kick in £28 for the whole thing this might be the best bundle ever: https://www.humblebundle.com/conquer-covid19-bundle
I'll 100% vouch for Into the Breach, Undertale, Hollow Knight, Psychonauts, Tropico 4, World of Goo, VVVVVV, and Magicka. Beyond that I know a lot of people love lots of the others, like Killing Floor 2, Europa Universalis 4, The Witness, and lots of others.

Pathologic 2 was great. It was unlike anything else I have played. It's certainly not a game "for everyone" with it's brutal difficulty, but the difficulty does not come from combat.
-
You have won me over. Waiting until I head back into the woods tomorrow to play it.
-
Yeah, Pathologic 2 is indeed my kind of eastern european mindfuck game too.
-
Best 6 dollar game ever!

Ok its really old but it's a great turn-based game where each game can go wildly different depending on quest, ruins and other random events.
Spent hundreds of hours if not more playing this with my friends!
-
Serious Sam 4 looking pretty neat in previews. None of them has been close to the original really, but it looks like they are a bit back to basics with this one. https://store.steampowered.com/app/257420/Serious_Sam_4/
-
Played the first serious sam to death that was epic!
-
The great thing about Red Dead is that you can't play singleplayer when the Rockstar servers are having problems.
-
The Shadowrun collection is free on Epic atm. They are kind of clunky olden-style PC RPGs, but the Shadowrun setting is fantastic, and specifically the last one, Shadowrun: Hong Kong, I claim is truly great (best story and characters, but primarily they managed to streamline the combat to be a bit less... bad).
There's no reason to not at least head over and press the button.
-
Well the end of September ends me playing with you lot haha
Baldurs Gate 3 (played the 1st and 2nd one a million times each)
and
Spelunky 2!
