The Case of the Golden Idol was a really nice detective game.
Playing Cyberpunk now, it's decent, but a bit underwhelming. You have this massive elaborate city, but you just fast travel or drive through it to missions inside buildings where an objective marker tell you exactly where to go at all times.
And now migrated to a slightly larger box! In the interest of box consolidation mostly 🙂
In the process I have managed to change the emoji into their android blob variants somehow, not sure why. It is not very surprising however, as just about every fragment of software involved has changed in the process.
Unfortunately my travel plans got messed up pretty bad by a protracted pilot strike (and some inflexible circumstances, in that I am attending a conference up until the moment I would have headed to Birmingham). As such the travel has gotten real expensive, and I can't really defend the trip anymore. Sorry all, hope you have an excellent time.
My BYOC and PC rental tickets are up for grabs, I am not going to try to shadily resell them, so in case someone can use them go ahead (I seem to recall that for at least the BYOC ticket the name doesn't matter, but don't take my word on that, and I am very unsure about the PC rental ticket).
You are entirely correct, and it has since been clarified what happened by 7.31b: Zombies used to do the basic damage type but didn't have their damage adjusted when it was removed and all damage was made the 100%/100%/100% hero type, which was 33% buff in damage for them.
The first game (Returns) is good but rough, with nice story and atmosphere, but the combat is clunky and stuff like hacking is downright maddening. The second (Dragonfall) polishes stuff up and is real good. The third (Hong Kong) is simply all around great.
If you're curious but not that interested just jump into Hong Kong. In principle the games don't story-wise spoil each other, but I honestly think it'll all feel too clunky going backwards, but rather that people only play Hong Kong than miss out on that too bouncing off Returns.
